The Macseum is a digital museum dedicated to Apple’s vintage hardware — the compact Macs, the doomed beauties, the candy-colored comeback machines. Part archive, part love letter, part workshop manual.

The premise is simple: this hardware is worth curating like art, because it was designed like art and it changed lives like art. A Macintosh SE in a landfill is e-waste; the same machine dusted, retrobrighted, and explained is heritage. We write exhibit placards, not spec dumps — though the specs are all here too.

The collection favors depth over breadth: a dozen machines with real exhibits rather than a hundred thin pages. New wings — peripherals, software, more portables — open as they’re ready. The restoration guides are written for owners doing real work, and the Community Wing exists because the best collections are in your houses, not ours.

Every machine illustration on this site is original vector art drawn for the museum — no borrowed photography, which is also why every machine gets to smile.
